The Google Pixel 6 Series refuses to charge with certain USB-C cables

The Google Pixel 6 Series has been plagued by numerous issues since its launch, although some issues have already been resolved through software updates. However, there seems to be more coming this way. Online reports claim that the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro refuse to charge some USB-C cables and chargers.

To be fair, Google warned about this and said that some cable and charging bricks would not be compatible with phones, especially those that are not power delivery-certified.

The rationale behind this is to protect the device’s charging port and battery because low-quality cables can cause a lot of problems. It’s kind of understandable, but it’s also a bit disappointing that Google hasn’t included a compatible charger and cable in the retail box.

So if you own a Google Pixel 6, don’t hesitate to spend some extra money for a proper USB-C cable as it may not work on your phone.
